Telstra recently announced its decision not to build a new tower on Tower Hill, despite receiving planning approval from Moyne Shire Council.
We applaud Telstra’s decision and take it as a great win for the little guys. The Koroit community campaigned hard against the towers proposed location on the banks of Australia’s first national park and one our region's most spectacular natural assets.
It is important to note we are supporting of improved communication services, but believe it is vital these towers are located in the correct locations. There are other options for tower installation and on the banks of Victoria’s national park is not one of them.
