Premiers Visit - July 2017

Premier Daniel Andrews visited Warrnambool and Port Fairy in July to discuss the issues we are working on and officially open the new Moyne Health community facility in Port Fairy.  I was delighted to join the Premier on a tour of the new facilities, which will soon expand again thanks to an additional $2.1 million for a new urgent care centre.

Premier Andrews’ visit included:

  • A welcome coffee at the Warrnambool foreshore, home of controversy over horses training at the beach;
  • Announcement of a $114 million rail upgrade and stabilising work at Warrnambool Station to allow Vlocity Trains on our line;
  • Review of the design work for the redevelopment of Reid Oval to bring its facilities up to AFL standards;
  • Meeting with members of the new South West Healthcare Community Committee.
