Premier Daniel Andrews visited Warrnambool and Port Fairy in July to discuss the issues we are working on and officially open the new Moyne Health community facility in Port Fairy. I was delighted to join the Premier on a tour of the new facilities, which will soon expand again thanks to an additional $2.1 million for a new urgent care centre.
Premier Andrews’ visit included:
- A welcome coffee at the Warrnambool foreshore, home of controversy over horses training at the beach;
- Announcement of a $114 million rail upgrade and stabilising work at Warrnambool Station to allow Vlocity Trains on our line;
- Review of the design work for the redevelopment of Reid Oval to bring its facilities up to AFL standards;
- Meeting with members of the new South West Healthcare Community Committee.
