As part of the platform for election by Vote 1 Local Jobs we have developed an eight-point jobs plan to create secure employment for current and future generations who reside in Western Victoria.

At Vote 1 Local Jobs we believe these eight points are a strong foundation for increased employment and economic security for Western Victoria.

If we don’t take a stand on some of these issues the way of life we enjoy will be swallowed up by taxes, lack of funding and the metropolitan drain. Country areas will die without greater support and it’s time we are proactive to ensure we protect Western Victoria for future generations.

Vote 1 Local Jobs is a party by Western Victorians for Western Victorians.

Our eight-point plan includes:

1. Removing payroll tax obligations from country businesses

  • Incentive for businesses to locate and employ outside Melbourne
  • To be financed through a 1% increase in metropolitan payroll tax

2. Committing Government Authorities to purchase local through a regional "buy local" incentive
